THE BRIEF

Jason has a long working relationship with Matamata Primary School having been project lead between 2007 to 2011 during the redevelopment of the original school building through to more recent projects including the installation of a rain harvesting system total value of work was approximately $2,600,000.

More recently Jason was engaged to deliver Matamata Primary School’s 5 Year Agreement (5YA) in three years.  The engagement was our short form model for full professional services. The projects identified by the 5YA included re-roofing several buildings, upgrade of classroom blocks and upgrade of the hall.

OUR WORK

Jason began by reviewing the Capital Works Plan in the 10 Year Property Plan (10YPP), recommending changes to the project scope and approach. Once the project structure was set up and prioritised, Jason began working through the projects. By structuring the projects so they were completing a couple of projects at a time, Jason increased efficiency of delivery and completed multiple projects at the same time.

THE OUTCOME

This project was delivered on time and on budget all while the school was able to continue to function and provide the educational needs of its students.
